DAY 1: Arrive at Spier

Welcome to wonderful Spier, your gateway to the wonderful Cape Winelands region. Located close to Stellenbosch, where grape vines from Europe were first cultivated in Africa, this stunning working wine estate, farm and luxury hotel is the perfect base from which to explore this beautiful and fascinating region of South Africa.

Spend your afternoon exploring the estate. Take a segway tour of the vineyards, visit the raptor rehabilitation centre or indulge in a spa treatment before sampling some of the estates finest wines and enjoying a wonderful dinner in the hotel's beautiful restaurant.

DAY 2: At Spier

After a wonderful breakfast in the hotel restaurant, pick from a wide choice of things to do and see both on the estate and in the area. Visit historic Stellenbosch with its beautiful Dutch gabled houses that date back to the late 17th Century and fabulous cafes and restaurants, or pop in at one of the myriad wine estates for tastings.

Drive out to Franschhoek or Paarl to discover more about this fascinating region of South Africa and its wonderful history before returning to Spier for a leisurely afternoon by the pool or take a picnic out on the estate before dining out in style at one of the many restaurant options.

DAY 3: At Spier

After breakfast in the hotel restaurant, why not take a trip to nearby Cape Town and explore the busy Victoria and Alfred Waterfront? Visit the Two Oceans Aquarium or take the heart-pumping cableway to the top of Table Mountain and marvel at the breathtaking views from the summit. 

You can also explore colourful Bo Kaap and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens in the lee of Table Mountain before returning to Spier for some rest and relaxation and some wine and food pairings.

DAY 4:  Time to leave

After breakfast it's time to say farewell to Spier and the beautiful Winelands region and head on to your next destination or home.
